Meet the Staff
Botanica Day Spa was founded in 1994 originally owned by Amy Lidman and was the first day spa ever in Clearwater. Gen Obolensky became the owner in May of 2004. At Botanica Day Spa our goal is to provide our guests a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, and friendly personable service with staff that are knowledgeable on how to make you look and feel your best. For anybody looking for anything from a quick manicure on your lunch break to a full day of pampering and beautifying. Among the services we offer are Micro Dermabrasion, Facial Sculpting and we were recently featured in Lucky magazine for our signature treatment the Mountain Glow Honey Butter Scrub. We’re proud of our staff and their talents and would like to take this opportunity to introduce them.
Gen Obolensky - (Owner/Full Specialist) - Graduated from Loraine's Academy in St. Petersburg, FL in 2000 as a Full Specialist. Gen has worked at Botanica Day Spa since 1998 and became owner in 2004. Gen is highly trained and specializes in Waxing, Brazilian Bikini Wax, Skin Care, Lash Extensions, Body Treatments, Lam Probing, Natural Nails, Ionic Foot Detox Treatments and Airbrush Tans.
Yana Spiridakos - (Aesthetician) - Graduated from Elite Academy in Dunedin, FL in 2000 as an Aesthetician. Yana is highly trained and specializes in Waxing, Brow Shaping, Brazilian Bikini Wax, Skin Care and Body Treatments.
Ashlee Macdonald - (Full Specialist) - Graduated from Vancouver School of Beauty in Vancouver, WA in 2003 as a Full Specialist. Ashlee is highly trained and specializes in Waxing, Brazilian Bikini Wax, Skin Care, Lash Extensions, Body Treatments, Lam Probing, Natural Nails, Ionic Foot Detox Treatments and Airbrush Tans.
Carrie Mastrimone - (Full Specialist) - Graduated in 1990 from Sheer Ego International out of Rochester, NY as a Licensed Cosmetologist. Carrie is able to perform a full range of services and is highly trained in Specialty Skincare, Peels, Microdermabrasion, Natural Nails and is a certified Master Pedicurist.
Michelle Frederick - (Full Specialist) - Graduated from Academy of Beauty in New Port Richey in 2003 as a Nail Technician and from Florida Career College in 2011 as a Full Specialist. Michelle's favorite service to provide is Microdermabrasion and Custom Peels to help enhance a clients skin.
Donni Tompkins - (Licensed Massage Therapist; Lic. #MA32889) - Graduated from Humanities/Cortiva in Pinellas Park, FL in 2000 as a Licensed Massage Therapist/Certified Neuromuscular Therapist. Donni has over 10,000 hands on hours and extensive training in Prenatal, Doula, Lymphatic, Reflexology, Reiki Master, Japanese Anma, Visceral Manipulation and Cranial Sacral Therapy.
Joetta Conderman - (Licensed Massage Therapist; Lic. #MA52635) - Graduated from Edutech in Clearwater, FL in 2007 as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Joetta is trained in Reflexology, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and Swedish Relaxation. She is in school to become a full specialist and graduating in Summer/Fall 2011.
Christen Makan - (Licensed Massage Therapist; #MA55277) - Graduated from Humanities/Cortiva in Pinellas Park, FL in 2007 as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Christen is trained in Reflexology, Swedish Relaxation, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Sports Massage. She specializes in Therapeutic and Deep Tissue Massage.
