If you are feeling a little anxious, take a minute to drop some essential oil, like lavender or tea tree, into the palm of your hand and breathe it in.  The soothing scent can aid in alleviating stress and anxiety by stimulating the smell receptors that connect to the part of the brain that regulates emotions.

Everyone has a certain song or even an album that they know can brighten their mood almost immediately.  Luckily, you can access music from almost anywhere now, so make sure you have your best jams uploaded to your phone or computer.  And if you had a particularly stressful day and can’t fall asleep as easily as you’d like, listening to classical music can be exceptionally relaxing before bedtime.
