The Importance of Positive Thinking

Regardless of whether we will openly admit it to others (or even to ourselves), the truth is that women are deeply desirous of not only achieving and maintaining great beauty, but also of doing so as effortlessly as possible.  With all the shaving, waxing and plucking we subject ourselves to, among other things, we are very familiar with the phrase “beauty is pain”.  But what if there was a simple and painless way to improve our health and beauty?

Positive Thinking and Your Health and Beauty

Health professionals have long advocated the extensive health benefits provided through positive thinking.  In fact, many cancer treatment centers make their patients’ positive thinking and attitudes a critical part of their treatment plans.  But what if your positive thinking can also dramatically improve your beauty?  How, you wonder?  Through helping to keep clear the largest organ of your body–your skin.

The fact is that your skin always reflects your emotions–something you are probably well aware of from the otherwise unexplainable rashes and acne breakouts that just seem to show up during periods of extreme stress, anxiety, sadness, grief, anger and other strong emotions. But why is this?  There are several explanations.

Negative thinking can affect your energy levels, driving them down.  Skin cells, like other body cells, need energy in order to rejuvenate themselves and stay young and fresh-looking, so it’s obvious that lower energy levels can result in tired-looking skin and poor complexion.  Negative thinking also makes your body less resistant to the various stressors that adversely affect it, and less able to release the neurohormones that combat stress hormones.  The resultant hormonal rollercoaster can lead to skin and other health problems.  This helps to explain why a stressed individual often looks much older and as though they haven’t sleep in a long period of time.

Start Thinking Positively

Even the simplest positive thoughts can make a huge impact on your health and beauty.  The next time you look in the mirror, stop searching for all the blemishes and imperfections you feel certain are there, and take just a moment to admire your true beauty.  This will boost your self-confidence and self-esteem, which will work wonders on your ability to cope with stressful situations without succumbing to them.  While it may be difficult initially, you will find it easier to do this over time and you will reap the benefits when you experience a healthy body and radiantly beautiful skin.

Love,
